First activity is in the classroom- we will be playing- don't get the rotten apple! This means that I provide them with 13 cards, I used 12 black playing cards, and 1 red playing card. The students will partner, and then they will take turns. They can pick one card, or two cards at a time, but the person that is left with the red "rotten apple" is the loser.
This relates to mathematical reasoning- there is a trick to win. I *believe* that the trick is to take the same amount of cards as the person you are playing. We shall see if I am right!
